Hand & wrist
The hand and wrist are complex structures that combine bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves in a very confined space. Any alteration can seriously affect the patient's function and autonomy.
I routinely treat complex carpal and metacarpal fractures, osteoarthritis (especially at the base of the thumb), and tendon, nerve, or ligament injuries resulting from trauma, overuse, or aging. I also address injuries from nerve entrapment or compression, such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Thanks to specific training in hand surgery, I apply precise surgical techniques, often on an outpatient basis, aiming to restore function with the least possible impact.
Most common hand and wrist pathologies:
-
Complex wrist and metacarpal fractures
-
Osteoarthritis of the base of the thumb (rhizarthrosis)
-
Carpal ligament injuries
-
Extensor or flexor tendinitis
-
Quervain's tenosynovitis
-
Trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis)
-
Carpal tunnel syndrome
-
Ulnar nerve compression at the wrist (Guyon's canal syndrome)
-
Synovial cysts
-
Traumatic nerve injuries
